First Baptist Church - Waldoboro
Troy Nelson serves young men of mid-coast Maine as Troop Master for Trail Life USA Troop 1750, which is chartered by MMOC. As an Eagle Scout of the old order of the BSA, Troy is thrilled that the Lord has brought this unit together to “Walk Worthy.” This Troop of boys of all ages and their leaders love the great classroom of the outdoors, and growing as followers of Jesus who pursue “adventure, character, and leadership” through Troop events. Troy is always looking for ways to teach young people to hold to the whole truth of God’s Word while looking for bridges within the community that could become open doors for the gospel. Troy received his undergraduate degree in Outdoor Education from Houghton College in upstate NY and his seminary training through Faith Bible Seminary in Lafayette, IN. He serves as Pastor of Discipleship and Outreach at First Baptist Church of Waldoboro. Most of all, he loves exploring with his family in the woods and mountains, and any place that he can find large amounts of snow. “Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to Your Name be the glory, because of Your love and faithfulness.
